Cairn Terrier Dog "The Best Little Pal in the World"
The general appearance of the Cairn Terrier is that of
an active, game, hardy, small, working Terrier of the short
legged class. The Cairn is very free in its movements, and
strongly but not heavily built. It stands well forward on its
forelegs, ready for action. It is deep in the ribs, with strong
hindquarters and presenting a well-proportioned build with
a medium length of back, having a hard, weather-resisting
coat. The head of the Cairn Terrier is shorter and wider
than any other terrier and well furnished with hair
giving a somewhat foxy expression.
The Cairn Terrier is a surprisingly tough little dog for
its size and is not timid. It does not shed very much and so
it only needs to be groomed about once a week. The Cairn
is moderately active and is quite suitable in a smaller home.
Cairns tend to bond to the whole family and are considered
good with children. They make a loving family pet.
