Canadian Flag    Maddie - A very pleasing happy Irish gal!

Maddie has been adopted.
Maddie is an eight year old very active and sweet female Irish. She originally came from a well known breeder of ITs. She needs a new home due to changed family circumstances. Requires a family where someone is home at lunch time and most evenings and weekends. The yard should be fenced. Maddie is good with humans, but does not like squirrels, rabbits or stray cats maybe cats in general. She does not like other dogs when she is on a lead, but fine if with a dog sitter. Maybe some more lead training would help. Maddie is a typical Irish Terrier, energetic and healthy with shots up to date. Her teeth may need cleaning.

Maddie is currently in the Toronto, Ontario area.

For more information, please complete the Rescue Application telling us about yourself and your experience with dogs, and note that we will ask for a donation to our rescue program, from the person who adopts Maddie.

Declan is very affectionate and needs an owner who can give him the love and attention he needs. He really wants to please and will be a great dog to have as a family member. USA Flag    Kaylee - A great temperament!

Kaylee has been adopted.
Kaylee is a wonderful female Irish Terrier. She is 5 or 6 years old and she loves life! Kaylee was turned in to a public shelter in CA by her owner, who probably loved her too much. Kaylee was quite the porky Irish Terrier. ITCA has had her in foster care/boot camp for the past month while she works off those extra pounds. Kaylee has had her teeth cleaned, blood work checked and she has been spayed. She will be ready for a new home just as soon as she loses a few more pounds. She loves to walk, she is crate trained and housebroken, and she gets along well with most dogs and some cats.

Kaylee is currently in the San Francisco Bay Area.  For more information, please complete the Rescue Application telling us about yourself and your experience with dogs, and note that we will ask for a donation to our rescue program, from the person who adopts Kaylee.

USA Flag    Riley - A very good looking Irish Gentleman!

Riley has been adopted.
Riley is a beautiful, mature Irish Terrier who needs a new home.  His owner has had a job transfer plus some personal changes at home which together have made it impossible to care for Riley properly.  Riley is great with kids and he likes other non dominant dogs.  He is not a cat lover.  He has good manners, loves car rides and is very friendly when he meets new people.  He is the perfect Irish gentleman who would be an asset to any home.  He is currently living in Oklahoma but will also be in Colorado.  ITCA Rescue will work with potential adopters to move him if they are out of the area and are approved to adopt Riley.

Recently Placed Irish Terriers

USA Flag    Rocky - Another handsome Irish gentleman!

Irish Terrier Rocky, needing adoption
Rocky has been adopted.
This is a heartbreaking rescue story. Rocky has been a much loved pet for his entire life. He is 12 years old. He is in good health but his owners are not so lucky. Poor health is forcing them to leave their country home and move to an apartment in town. Rocky is an intact male, house-broken, used to living inside and out, and probably would do best in a fairly quiet environment. He is not used to cities or traffic. He definitely needs a fenced in yard. Rocky is up-to-date with routine shots. He is currently living in the San Francisco area but can be moved.

For more information, please complete the Rescue Application telling us about yourself and your experience with dogs, and note that we will ask for a donation to our rescue program, from the person who adopts Rocky.

USA Flag    Julie - A beautiful young gal!

Irish Terrier Julie, needing adoption
Irish Terrier Julie, needing adoption
Julie has been adopted.
Meet Julie, a 3 year old spayed, female Irish Terrier. Julie is a lonely girl who is not allowed to come into the house. She spends all her days and nights in a dog run . She did have a playmate, but he was an older dog and he recently died. Julie loves people, and especially children. Her current family has young children and Julie loves to spend time with them. The children aren't that interested in her so the family has decided that she should go to another home. Because Julie has been left outside so much, she will need work on her housebreaking and she will also have to learn leash manners. Julie is in New Mexico, but we will certainly move her if the right family is approved to adopt this beautiful girl.

Irish Terriers love to be a part of the family so it is especially sad to see Julie in this environment.

For more information, please complete the Rescue Application telling us about yourself and your experience with dogs, and note that we will ask for a donation to our rescue program, from the person who adopts Julie.

USA Flag    Tess - A beautiful red coated gal!

Irish Terrier Tess, needing adoption
Tess has been adopted.
Meet beautiful Tess, a three year old Irish Terrier with a gorgeous red coat. We have just had her spayed, heartworm checked, and vaccinated. She is housebroken and crate trained. Tess is ready for a new home. She is a lively girl who is very affectionate towards people. It was reported that she did not like men but we have not seen any negative reaction towards men. Tess loves to chase anything that moves so we won't place her in a home with cats or birds. She likes to be in charge, so she should go to a home where there are no other dogs except possibly a neutered, mellow male. She should have owners who know and love terriers. Tess is in a foster home in Council Bluffs, Iowa. We can probably arrange to move her if needed so that we can place her in just the right home.

For more information, please complete the Rescue Application telling us about yourself and your experience with dogs, and note that we will ask for a donation to our rescue program, from the person who adopts Tess.

USA Flag    Sarah - A Happy and Fun Loving Gal!

Irish Terrier Sarah, needing adoption
Sarah has been adopted.
Sarah is a spayed female Irish Terrier.
We estimate that she is about 5 years old. Sarah is a happy, fun loving dog who seems to love all people. She may be a little bossy with other dogs so we would not place her in a home with another female. A neutered male would be fine. She is currently in foster care in Vancouver, Washington. We would like her to go to a home where the new owners are familiar with the terrier spirit!

For more information, please complete the Rescue Application telling us about yourself and your experience with dogs, and note that we will ask for a donation to our rescue program, from the person who adopts Sarah.
