Below are our best picks of Pack ‘N Play considering various conditions as mentioned above.

The Lotus Travel Crib and Portable Playard

Without any misconception, we can say that this is the most and highest reviewed playard pack ‘n play of the year 2018. Hence the high demand and less availability even in Amazon. You can try your luck in the offline market but these do really get sold like hot cakes. Why?

Weight and measurement

It falls under the all-rounder section because it weighs only 13 pounds, highly portable, and is stylish enough to look great! It can be fit in a backpack and can be brought on a plane easily because it only measures 23” x 11” x 8”. From what the reviews say, parents do love it. The build quality is great, sturdy and durable enough to last even if you use it in a rigorous manner.
Long enough but yet narrow at 42” x 24”, which will spread out a 7 square feet of play space, it can be used more for the baby to sleep rather than to play.

Assembling and other features

Even though you’ll need about one minute each for assembling and disassembling it in starting, you’ll be the master by doing it in 30 seconds after you get used to it. Everything on this Playard is well padded which are also GreenGuard certified which means it is free from harmful chemicals like PVC, BPA, and Lead. Also, it has a side-door zip for ease of use and obviously for fun.

Pricing and availability

Coming to the pricing, even though it is usually priced at around $250, we have snapped this as low as $200. The price might seem on the heavier side, but you’ll only believe the worth only after using this.

Pros

  • Lightweight (13 pounds)
  • Ultra-portable (Fits in a backpack)
  • Looks stylish

Cons

  • Availability in market
  • Smaller area
  • Thin Mattress

Graco TotBloc Travel Crib

Although we talk a lot of points about this model here, we can truly say that the next mentioned one, the BabyBjorn one is a better option than this one. Why? You’ll know.

Weight and measurement

Before starting off with the weight, I will make it clear that this one is quite heavy and won’t ever be comfortable enough to carry around in a plane while you are traveling. Weighing about 24 pounds, it has a rather large play area of 10 square feet when compared with the other pack ‘n plays.

It is about 38” x 38” in dimensions, clearly, a square which can be used in either way. The build is sturdy and strong enough to be used. Even though it isn’t comfortable when traveling, it excels in other sections such as pricing and ease of use.

Assembling and other features

Assembling takes a bit of time but it is easy to do it without the need for any tools. The first time that we have used it, we got to clock the assembling speed in under three minutes. All you have to do is unfold it, press the mattress to the down until it takes up the perfect shape.

Coming down the mattress sizing, it is higher than the largely sought rectangular mattresses as this comes with a square sizing. Moreover, this playard has a cute looking design with a sun, butterfly and ladybug decorations on the ventilation sides but this model is quite different to find.

Pricing and availability

This playard certainly falls under the affordable yet comfy side. It costs you around $100 or much lesser than that usually. But as we said earlier, it’s quite difficult to find the ones with cute designs around them. The other basic ones which don’t have the design also cost the same.

Pros

  • Under $100
  • Spacious
  • Thicker mattress

Cons

  • Heavy
  • The design doesn’t seem appealing
  • Can’t travel with this

BabyBjorn Travel Crib Light

When compared with the other cribs that we mentioned above, this one is quite similar to the Lotus one that we have mentioned above. But let’s see what is in the wait for you.

Weight and measurement

We are not gonna talk much about the weight because it weighs 13 pounds which is just similar to the Lotus travel crib. It can be fit into a bag which is bigger than a backpack. Reason? You’ll know. Even though it fits into a bag, we won’t say that it easier to carry around because you’ll have to hold another piece of luggage.

It has dimensions of 32 x 44 x 24 in when assembled and 19 x 23.5 x 5.5 in when folded into the carry bag. But the downside is that it has a smaller mattress area when compared to the other playards in the list. It only offers around 6.5 square feet of the area which can only be comfortable when you just want to put the baby to sleep.

Assembling and other features

Well, the BabyBjorn Travel crib is quicker in this section with a setup time of around 30 seconds. Really interesting! To carry this around is a little cringy because of the extra size where you’ll have to pack this in a huge suitcase or you’ll end up paying for extra luggage while flying. So, if you are traveling by car, this is the one you should go for!

Even though this doesn’t have any side zip entries to put a baby to sleep easily, the narrow opening is not so hard to get used to. But because of the far reach down, it gets quite difficult. All in all, these don’t make this a bad deal at all, considering that it is ultra-portable and looks really dashing for eyes. Moreover, it is JPMA Certified Product with safe, breathable mesh sides along with a thick yet comfy mattress.

Pricing and availability

As we know about BabyBjorn, it is priced higher for its own reasons that we have mentioned. You can get it for around $300 usually or even less when it’s on a special sale. You only get between Black and Silver colors to pick from.

Pros

  • Lightweight
  • Stylish
  • Great build quality

Cons

  • Takes up a lot of space
  • No Zippered side door
  • Smaller mattress area

Fisher-Price Ultra-Lite Travel Crib

Out of all the above-mentioned pack ‘n plays, this one is a bit different, or we should say it’s a rather cool concept. What the cool concept includes is an inclined sleeper along with the playard below it.

Weight and measurements

Although it doesn’t stand out much in this department, it does the job well by just weighing around 18 pounds. This also makes it extremely portable and easier to carry around. However, the size of the bag in which you can carry it around when not in use is a bit big. But it won’t bother whenever you are traveling by air or a car.

Coming to the measurements, it is smaller than most others in this segment coming in at around 37 x 26 in. When folded up, it comes down to 26 x 23 in and contains a thickness of 9 inches. As a result of this, the play space is cut down to 6.5 square feet which are still okay considering the extra perks that they are offering.

Assembling and other features

To set this playard up, there is a different yet unique method which gets easier as you use it. Even while folding, it is easy and gets done in a single piece. All this folded, fits into a bag which also has a shoulder strap.

Now comes the best part that we have been talking about in the name of the cool concept. Yes, the bag comes with an inclined sleeper along with a travel changing pad and diaper clutch. Especially, this inclined sleeper is helpful if the baby is still young and hasn’t yet started to roll over or play. Talking about the mesh that surrounds it, it gives a good air circulation.
This could be easily compared with the Lotus crib which is quite expensive but still offers fewer features. The case is not the same with this.

Pricing and availability

On Amazon, the price is around $120 which is really affordable. You can take in a count of the additional features and get done with it. This is one of the cheap yet best ones that are available in the list.

Pros

  • Comes with inclined sleeper and diaper clutch
  • Not so expensive
  • Lightweight (18 pounds)

Cons

  • Small mattress area
  • Needs a big bag to carry
  • Build quality is not that great
