Health Issues:
The Beagle breed remains free of major health concerns. The biggest problem is obesity. It has an insatiable appetite, and therefore its diet needs tight control. There are some minor concerns, such as glaucoma, epilepsy, cherry eye and chondrodysplasia. Occasionally seen are, deafness, cataracts, hemophilia and umbilical hernia. Always discuss these potential problems with the breeder.
